Tanzania Securities Limited (TSL) is seeking an experienced Fixed Income Trader to execute, manage, and optimize trades in government and corporate fixed income securities. The successful candidate will manage proprietary and client portfolios, monitor market opportunities, participate in Bank of Tanzania auctions, and ensure trading activities comply with regulatory requirements while contributing to portfolio performance and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities

Execute buy and sell orders for Treasury Bills, Treasury Bonds, and corporate bonds.

Participate in Bank of Tanzania (BoT) primary dealer auctions using competitive bidding strategies.

Monitor yield curve movements, interest rate trends, and bond valuations to identify trading opportunities.

Prepare daily market updates, yield curve commentary, and trade summaries.

Ensure timely settlement of trades and compliance with CMSA, DSE, BoT regulations, and internal risk policies.

Maintain accurate trading records, blotters, and documentation.

Work closely with Risk & Compliance teams to ensure audit readiness.

Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional counterparties.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field.

Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in fixed income trading, treasury, or capital markets.

Strong understanding of Tanzania's government securities market, BoT auctions, and the DSE Bond Market.

Licensed DATS Trader with the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE), or eligible for authorization.

ACI Dealing Certificate (preferred).

Postgraduate qualification in Finance, Economics, or a related field (preferred).

SITI/CITI certification (preferred).

Strong knowledge of bond pricing, fixed income securities, and trading strategies.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg Terminal.
