About the Role
The Credit Analyst is responsible for reviewing and assessing credit requests to ensure compliance with approved standards, policies, and regulatory requirements before loan disbursement. This role involves analyzing customer creditworthiness, assessing associated risks, confirming customer risk ratings, and ensuring adherence to internal and external banking regulations.
Responsibilities
Review and appraise all credit requests submitted for approval.
Analyze customer creditworthiness and assess associated risks.
Confirm customer risk ratings and advise business offices on appropriate actions.
Review deal memos and product programs to optimize credit facilities and product offerings.
Ensure compliance with all credit approval processes, procedures, and policies.
Verify that credit requests meet internal and regulatory requirements before disbursement.
Prepare and submit monthly statutory reports on credit reviews.
Ensure adherence to internal and external banking regulations.
Provide recommendations that add value to credit proposals.
Support business units in managing credit-related matters.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Chief Credit Officer.
Requirements
Good knowledge of financial accounting.
Strong understanding of financial statements analysis.
Good knowledge of credit analysis and risk assessment.
Understanding of internal and external banking policies and procedures.
Knowledge of regulatory laws and requirements.
