We are seeking a Prestige Banker to join Absa Bank Tanzania in Dar es Salaam. The role is responsible for providing high-quality branch-based banking services while proactively identifying and converting sales opportunities. The Prestige Banker will manage customer needs, open and service accounts, build relationships, cross-sell appropriate banking products, support customer onboarding, and contribute to individual and branch sales and service targets.
Responsibilities

Open current accounts, savings accounts, packaged loan products, card products, and other assigned banking products and services.

Provide face-to-face customer service in accordance with established service standards.

Build and maintain relationships with existing customers.

Proactively identify customers' current and future financial needs.

Identify and convert appropriate sales and cross-selling opportunities.

Recommend banking products and services that match individual customer needs.

Support customer onboarding and relationship-deepening activities.

Assist customers with completing banking forms and other required documentation.

Refer customers to appropriate product, segment, or banking specialists when necessary.

Participate in inbound and outbound marketing activities, campaigns, and promotions.

Handle customer complaints within the banking hall professionally and support their resolution.

Complete follow-up documentation and administrative activities required for efficient and compliant branch operations.

Maintain sales and service statistics and monitor progress against assigned targets.

Deliver assigned individual financial and local-business targets.

Support the presentation, cleanliness, merchandising, and overall customer experience of the banking hall.

Work from the assigned branch and provide support to other local branches when required.

Ensure all activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements, the Absa Operational Risk Framework, and internal policies and standards.
Requirements

Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) in Business, Commerce and Management Studies.

Knowledge of retail and personal banking products, services, and tariffs.

Understanding of current and savings accounts, lending products, cards, and related banking services.

Knowledge of account-opening policies and procedures.

Understanding of Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.

Knowledge of banking sales processes and applicable sales standards.
