We are looking for a Finance Operations Specialist to support the effective day-to-day running of finance operations. The role focuses on accurate financial processing, cash and treasury management, financial reporting, bank and account reconciliations, IFRS compliance, internal financial controls, and maintaining accurate and audit-ready financial records.
Responsibilities

Process supplier, statutory, intercompany, and other payments according to approved authorization requirements.

Ensure payments are accurate, properly supported, and appropriately authorized.

Maintain organized financial documentation and records.

Monitor cash and bank balances.
-
Maintain accurate cash books and record banking transactions promptly.
-
Identify and report funding requirements.
-
Highlight surplus cash positions where applicable.
-
Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes.

Apply IAS 21 requirements where relevant.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Prepare supporting schedules in accordance with IFRS.
-
Maintain accurate fixed-asset records.
-
Process asset capitalization.
-
Maintain depreciation schedules and update the fixed-asset register.

Support IFRS 16 lease accounting where applicable.

Perform timely bank reconciliations for all company accounts.

Investigate discrepancies and reconciling items.
-
Ensure outstanding reconciliation items are properly cleared.

Maintain documentation supporting related-party transactions.

Support transfer pricing compliance with Tanzania Revenue Authority requirements.

Maintain financial records required for tax and compliance purposes.

Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices based on contractual billing arrangements.

Support billing for colocation, managed services, cloud services, and other ICT services.

Maintain complete and audit-ready financial records in accordance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Provide supporting documentation for audits and financial reviews.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.

CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.

Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in financial accounting, general accounting, finance operations, or a similar finance role.

Strong knowledge of finance and accounting systems.

Knowledge of IFRS and financial controls.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Strong reconciliation and financial analysis skills.

Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
