Bagamoyo African Institute of Sciences and Technology (BIST) is seeking a qualified Communication Skills Tutor to teach Diploma (NTA Levels 4–6) students while supporting academic research, consultancy, student supervision, and curriculum development. The successful candidate will help students develop strong communication, language, writing, and presentation skills essential for academic and professional success.
Key Responsibilities

Teach Communication Skills courses at NTA Levels 4–6 (Diploma).

Prepare lesson plans, tutorials, and teaching materials.

Conduct research, seminars, and academic case studies.

Provide consultancy and community service activities under supervision.

Supervise student projects and academic work.

Prepare teaching manuals and instructional resources.

Perform other academic duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies, Linguistics with English, English Language, Journalism and Mass Communication, or Bachelor of Education (Arts) majoring in English Language.

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience or a relevant postgraduate qualification.

At least 2 years of experience in a similar teaching position.

Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.

Excellent classroom management and student mentorship abilities.

Ability to teach Diploma (NTA Levels 4–6) students effectively.
