Responsible for managing EFTA customers throughout the investment process, including attracting new customers, assessing loan applications, preparing investment proposals, monitoring financed customers, and supporting loan risk management in Morogoro.
Responsibilities
- Identify potential customers in target markets and explain EFTA’s products and services
- Support the Branch Manager in conducting pre-application seminars
- Provide advice and guidance to prospective loan applicants
- Appraise loan applications and assess business viability and applicant reliability
- Conduct customer site visits, personal reference checks, working capital assessments and basic financial analysis
- Perform Environmental, Social and Governance assessments of applicants
- Recommend suitable investment applications to the Branch Manager
- Prepare investment proposals for the local Credit Committee
- Participate in vetting equipment suppliers
- Manage an assigned portfolio of EFTA customers
- Monitor financed customers through reminder calls and regular business visits
- Recommend loan restructuring and potential write-off decisions
- Identify ESG-related issues and ensure customers are aware of applicable labour laws
- Identify customer skills development needs and follow up on training
- Assist in coordinating customer networking events
- Maintain accurate customer records and lease documentation
- Ensure compliance with leasing policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Identify and report fraudulent lease applications
- Participate in branch audits as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Marketing or a related field
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience
- Valid driving licence
- Technical knowledge of mathematics, business appraisal and SME financing
- Good computer literacy
- Strong communication, analytical, sales and marketing skills
