The Accounts and Finance Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, managing accounts payable and receivable, assisting in budgeting and financial control, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations for Tanzania Health Summit.
Responsibilities
- Maintain Financial Records: Record and update all financial transactions accurately, including income, expenses, invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Prepare Financial Reports: Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including cash flow statements, budgets, and financial summaries for management.
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process supplier payments, issue customer invoices, monitor outstanding balances, and follow up on overdue payments.
- Budgeting & Financial Control: Assist in preparing budgets, monitor expenditures against approved budgets, and ensure the efficient use of organizational funds.
- Ensure Compliance & Support Audits: Ensure financial activities comply with accounting standards, tax regulations, and organizational policies, while preparing documentation required for internal and external audits.
Requirements
- Ability to accurately record and update all financial transactions.
- Proficiency in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Experience in managing accounts payable and receivable, including processing payments and issuing invoices.
- Competence in monitoring outstanding balances and following up on overdue payments.
- Skill in assisting with budget preparation and monitoring expenditures.
- Attention to detail and commitment to ensuring financial compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
