Graduate Mining Engineer

Geofields (T) Limited is seeking a motivated Graduate Mining Engineer to support senior mining engineers and site management in delivering safe, efficient, and productive mining operations. The successful candidate will assist with mine planning, production monitoring, technical reporting, quality assurance, cost analysis, and compliance while working closely with operational teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Senior Mining Engineers and Site Management with technical mining activities.
• Monitor mining production and ensure operational targets are achieved.
• Assist in analyzing mining performance, production data, and site costs.
• Update underground mine development progress and operational reports.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production performance reports.
• Support quality assurance programs and mining reconciliation processes.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and mining regulations.
• Monitor mine development progress and operational delays.
• Assist with mining cost reduction initiatives.
• Maintain effective communication with clients and operational teams.
• Support implementation of mine reporting systems and operational documentation.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across mining operations.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Understanding of underground mining operations and production processes.
• Knowledge of mining equipment performance and productivity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience or knowledge of Minrep, Deswik, Vulcan, and Datamine.
• Ability to prepare technical reports and operational templates.
• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of mine reporting systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Valid Tanzanian Driver's Licence is an added advantage.
• Tanzanian Blasting Certificate is an added advantage.
• Graduate membership with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) is an added advantage.
