Tutorial Assistant – Counselling and Psychology

The Institute of Adult Education (IAE) is looking for a Tutorial Assistant – Counselling and Psychology to support teaching, tutorials, practical exercises, research, and the development of learning materials. The role involves teaching students up to NTA Level 6 (Ordinary Diploma), supporting adult and non-formal education activities, and contributing to consultancy and community services.

Responsibilities

• Teach students up to NTA Level 6 (Ordinary Diploma).
• Assist in conducting tutorials and practical exercises under close supervision.
• Prepare learning resources for tutorial exercises.
• Organize and coordinate adult education activities.
• Write course materials for adult and non-formal education.
• Prepare teaching manuals and case studies for distance-learning students.
• Write and edit literacy and post-literacy materials.
• Assist in conducting research under close supervision.
• Participate in consultancy and community services under close supervision.
• Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, or Educational Psychology from a recognized institution.
• Minimum GPA of 3.5.
• Ability to teach and support students up to NTA Level 6 (Ordinary Diploma).
• Strong research skills.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Ability to develop course and teaching materials.
• Ability to prepare literacy and educational resources.
