Laryan, a growing hospitality company, is seeking a competent, proactive, and professional Human Resources Manager to establish and manage its Human Resources function. The role is hands-on and focuses on building effective HR systems, strengthening employee administration, managing key HR processes, and providing consistent HR support across all company branches.
Responsibilities

Establish and maintain an effective Human Resources function.

Establish and maintain an accurate employee database.

Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential employee personnel files.

Coordinate recruitment, candidate selection, and employee onboarding.
-
Manage employment contracts, probation periods, and other HR documentation.

Administer employee attendance and leave records.
-
Coordinate employee performance appraisals and development activities.
-
Support employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary processes.
-
Coordinate staff induction, training, and development.

Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.

Develop and maintain standard HR forms and documentation.

Prepare monthly HR reports and workforce statistics.
-
Monitor staff turnover, absenteeism, overtime, and other key HR indicators.

Provide timely and accurate employee information for payroll processing.

Provide HR support across all company branches.
-
Conduct regular visits to company branches as required.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.

At least 3 years of relevant HR experience.

At least 3 years of experience in a management role.

Experience within hospitality, restaurants, hotels, retail, or another high-volume service environment.

Practical experience in recruitment and employee onboarding.

Experience in employee relations.

Experience in performance management.

Strong HR administration experience.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.

Experience using HR and/or payroll software.

Good understanding of Tanzanian employment requirements and HR procedures.

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.

High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Ability to provide HR support across multiple branches.
