Official job description

We are seeking a Mathematics and Science Teacher to join Laureate International School in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will teach Mathematics and Science within the school's British-oriented academic framework and Cambridge International Curriculum while supporting students' academic and personal development.

Responsibilities

Teach Mathematics and Science according to the Cambridge International Curriculum.
Prepare and deliver engaging and effective lessons.
Help students develop strong mathematical, scientific, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Maintain high academic standards and support students in achieving their learning goals.
Encourage independent thinking, leadership, and personal responsibility.
Contribute to the school's academic departments and educational activities.
Work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff.
Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of teaching experience.
Strong proficiency in spoken and written English.
Ability to effectively teach Mathematics and Science.
Previous experience with the Cambridge International Curriculum is an advantage.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Commitment to high academic standards and student development.
