Manyara's Secret is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its accounting and finance team in Arusha.
This is a hands-on role combining lodge operations, accounting and financial administration. The successful candidate will work on a rotating basis, spending approximately two weeks each month at the lodge supporting operational activities and the remaining time handling office-based accounting and administration.
The role involves working with systems including QuickBooks and NightsBridge and collaborating closely with the finance team, external accountant and lodge management.
Responsibilities

Collaborate with the finance team, external accountant and lodge management.

Prepare monthly financial and operational reports.

Support day-to-day financial operations at the lodge.

Assist with guest check-outs and related financial transactions.

Manage petty cash and maintain accurate records.

Support stock ordering and inventory control.

Record accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions in QuickBooks.

Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.

Assist with tax preparation and related compliance activities.

Follow up on EFD-related matters.

Record and monitor payments through NightsBridge.

Follow up on outstanding or pending payments where required.

Ensure financial figures and records are accurately calculated and posted.

Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Director.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of proven financial/accounting experience.

Experience from an auditing firm, hospitality/hotel business or the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) is preferred.

Proven practical experience using QuickBooks.

Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records accurately.

Strong data-entry skills.

High level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Proficiency in Google Sheets.

Good command of English.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively.

CPA qualification is preferred.
