Airport Services Agent

We are seeking an Airport Services Agent to support Qatar Airways' airport operations in Zanzibar by providing high-quality service to passengers throughout their airport journey. The role involves assisting arriving, departing, and transferring passengers, coordinating with ground handling teams, supporting check-in and boarding operations, and ensuring Qatar Airways' safety, security, and service standards are consistently maintained.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with check-in, transfer desks, and other airport service areas to ensure smooth passenger processing.
• Escort and direct arriving and departing passengers to appropriate areas, including visa counters, transfer desks, hotel desks, premium lounges, and boarding gates.
• Assist passengers throughout airport facilities and help ensure a smooth travel experience.
• Coordinate with Ground Handling Agents (GHA) to facilitate hotel and transfer passengers.
• Support the Duty Officer in handling company materials, documentation, and records.
• Supervise Ground Handling Agent staff during flights to ensure Qatar Airways service standards are maintained.
• Organize check-in counters and assist with passenger documentation issues.
• Support efficient passenger acceptance, transfer, and boarding operations.
• Ensure services are delivered in accordance with applicable safety and security standards.
• Perform other related duties required for the efficient operation of the work unit.

Requirements

• High School qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of job-related experience.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in the airline, travel, or hospitality industry.
• Fluency in English.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer-service orientation.
• High level of computer literacy.
• Positive attitude and high energy.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Legal right to live and work in Tanzania.
