Ramada Resort Dar es Salaam is seeking a commercially focused Head of Marketing to lead and execute marketing strategies across its hotel cluster.
The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening brand positioning, attracting new customers, increasing direct bookings and delivering measurable revenue growth. The role combines commercial marketing, digital acquisition, brand management, creative direction, partnerships and marketing performance analysis.
The position reports to the Cluster General Manager, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Director of Creative.
Responsibilities

Develop and execute the annual cluster marketing strategy and communications plan in line with the commercial objectives of the hotels.

Create integrated campaigns to drive occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, direct bookings, food and beverage revenue, MICE, weddings, events, leisure and corporate demand.

Ensure marketing campaigns deliver measurable commercial results and evaluate their revenue contribution and return on investment.

Manage and optimize digital marketing channels, including SEO, SEM, Google Ads, paid social media, Meta Business Suite, email marketing, CRM, hotel websites and online listings.

Monitor website traffic, conversion rates, campaign attribution, customer acquisition costs and other digital marketing KPIs.

Develop creative concepts and content for websites, social media, email campaigns, advertisements, brochures, menus and promotional materials.

Prepare clear and commercially focused creative briefs.

Manage creative agencies, photographers, videographers, designers and other external suppliers.

Oversee photography and videography and ensure marketing materials meet required visual, brand and quality standards.

Maintain consistent brand positioning across hotel properties and communication channels.

Support the launch and promotion of new hotel products, services, restaurants, facilities, packages and guest experiences.

Manage the hotels' online reputation, including guest reviews, ratings, responses and customer engagement.

Work with the Revenue Manager to develop offers and campaigns that support demand generation and revenue optimization.

Collaborate with the Cluster Sales Manager on lead generation, corporate campaigns, MICE, weddings, events and travel-trade initiatives.

Develop strategic marketing partnerships with airlines, tourism boards, travel agencies, tour operators, corporate organizations, event planners, media organizations, influencers and lifestyle partners.

Manage influencer marketing, public relations, media partnerships, exhibitions, roadshows, trade fairs, launches and sponsorships.

Develop and manage the annual marketing budget and monitor expenditure against business results.

Evaluate marketing investment based on ROI, revenue contribution, lead generation, brand impact and campaign performance.

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual marketing performance reports.

Monitor competitors, market trends, customer behaviour and emerging opportunities and provide recommendations to management.

Support internal communications, employer branding and employee engagement initiatives.

Ensure marketing activities comply with copyright, advertising, data protection, corporate brand and applicable regulatory requirements.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Hospitality Management or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive marketing experience.

Multi-property hotel marketing experience is preferred.

Proven experience developing and executing commercially driven marketing strategies.

Strong practical knowledge of SEO and SEM.

Strong experience with paid social media marketing.
-
Strong practical knowledge of Google Ads and Meta Business Suite/Ads Manager.

Experience using CRM systems and email marketing platforms.

Strong practical knowledge of Google Analytics.

Experience managing websites and CMS platforms.

Strong understanding of digital marketing analytics, campaign attribution and conversion tracking.

Ability to measure marketing ROI and revenue contribution.

Good understanding of hotel commercial metrics, including Occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, direct bookings, F&B revenue, MICE, weddings and events.

Proven experience managing marketing and creative agencies.
