About the Role

The Sales Executive will manage an assigned geographical area, which may include towns/villages and several distributor territories, to achieve primary and secondary sales targets, distribution goals, and other Key Performance Indicators. This role involves leading and empowering Area Distributors, VSM’s, and their staff to achieve planned volume, market share, NSV, and NR targets.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor & Accompaniment of VSM’s as part of Diageo’s toolkit.

  • Manage Area Distributor Primary and Secondary Sales Performance, including secondary sales management through stockiest and retail, and working with Distributor manager to drive primary sales plans.

  • Responsible for management and execution in Top 10-15 outlets including stockiest, placing orders and ensuring delivery.

  • Adhere to own journey plan of stockiest, top outlets.

  • Represent Distribution Manager to connect with Distributor when required.

  • Present with Distributor on secondary sales initiatives, training and driving of VSMs on sales Force effectiveness targets, including agreeing and managing secondary sales initiatives like the 3-wheeler project and stockiest incentive.

  • Identify potential areas for new distributors and stockiest for new distribution point appointment, facilitating effective and efficient stock movement and understanding/owning KYC process for recruitment.

  • Responsible for joint activities between Top outlets and SBL to increase sale and market share, including outlet execution for sales drivers (visibility, price initiatives, consumer offers), innovation drive, price compliance and availability, POS and cooler execution, listing new SKUs/brands, driving sales and advising on empties/OOS, collecting competitive intelligence, and executing nationally coordinated activations.

  • Grow distributor health and profitability by improving distributor operations in quality (ordering, receiving, distribution), efficiency in secondary distribution (trucks, routes, staff capability), and automation. Work with Distributor Manager to ensure profitability and healthy return on SBL investments, and highlight red flags.

  • Close working relationship with SBL marketing, supply and finance to ensure dedication and engagement in plans for flawless execution.
