Shades of Green Safaris is seeking an experienced Human Resources & Administration Manager to provide strategic leadership across human resources and administrative operations.
Reporting to the Group Managing Director, the successful candidate will establish effective HR systems, develop organizational policies, attract and develop talent, ensure compliance with Tanzanian labour laws, and oversee administrative functions that support efficient business operations.
The role is ideal for an experienced HR professional with strong leadership capabilities and knowledge of hospitality, tourism, or lodge operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, and systems.

Lead workforce planning, recruitment, employee selection, onboarding, and induction processes.

Design and implement performance management and employee development programs.

Coordinate staff training initiatives and succession planning.

Manage employee relations, disciplinary processes, and grievance handling.

Ensure compliance with Tanzanian labour legislation and employment best practices.

Oversee compensation, benefits administration, leave management, and employee records.

Promote a positive organizational culture focused on professionalism, accountability, and service excellence.
- Establish and maintain efficient administrative systems and procedures.

Manage office administration, company assets, and records.

Oversee procurement of office equipment and administrative supplies.

Coordinate facilities management, security services, utilities, and office maintenance.

Supervise administrative staff and external service providers.

Maintain accurate company records and administrative documentation.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and organizational standards.
Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.

Master's Degree is an added advantage.

Professional HR certification is desirable.

Minimum 7 years' relevant experience.

At least 3 years of experience in a managerial HR position.

Experience in hospitality, tourism, hotel, or lodge industries is highly preferred.

Demonstrated experience establishing HR and administrative systems.

Strong knowledge of Tanzanian labour legislation.
