Official job description

SHANG YUAN INTERNATIONAL (TANZANIA) INVESTMENT GROUP COMPANY LIMITED is recruiting two local translators/interpreters for on-site work in Dar es Salaam and Makambaco, Tanzania. The specific work location will be discussed during the interview.

Responsibilities

Interpret accurately between Mandarin Chinese, English and Swahili in business communication and meetings. Translate work-related messages and documents, preserving numbers, dates, instructions and conditions. Support communication between Chinese management, local colleagues and external counterparts. Clarify unfamiliar terms and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements

Fluent Mandarin Chinese, English and Swahili, with practical spoken and written communication ability. Strong accuracy, professional conduct and ability to work at the agreed location.

Monthly salary

TZS 1,000,000 per month during probation and TZS 1,300,000 per month upon confirmation. Salary is negotiable for candidates with outstanding skills. Probation is normally one month; the individual will be notified if an extension is needed in special circumstances.
