About the Role

Undertake and ensure compliance with EABL engineering stores processes. This includes all activities from receipt of maintenance work orders (demand for spares or services) to preparation of Requisitions details, through to receipt of deliveries, whilst ensuring inventory counts are complete and any missing's investigated.

Responsibilities

  • To ensure documentation is accurately completed

  • To ensure all transactions are accurately captured on the system

  • To ensure correct quality and quantities issued to customer requirements

  • Ensure accurate and timely posting in SAP

  • To participate in monthly and annual stock count routines

  • To perform recounts for count verification

  • Assist in investigations for stock discrepancies

  • To ensure materials are correctly and accurately tracked between points of delivery

  • To ensure direct deliveries are collected timeously

  • To ensure materials are delivered according to Company Specifications

  • To ensure materials are protected until they can be returned to the Supplier

  • To ensure materials for return are suitably quarantined to ensure they do not inadvertently enter the process

  • To ensure the stores layout is properly maintained in line with good housekeeping practices

  • To ensure materials are issued and received according to FIFO (First in First Out)

  • To ensure the physical storage locations are secure and always controlled

  • To ensure all materials have a place/bin location and ensure that all materials are in their place/bin location

  • To ensure materials are correctly labeled according to prescribed standards

  • To ensure materials stored are compliant with the Global Asset Care inventory standards

  • To ensure materials are controlled according to the documented work instructions

  • To assist in the continuous improvement of stores work instructions

  • To actively participate in Works Instruction development

  • Run relevant reports in line with stores control requirements

  • Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) standards and practices are enforced equally in respect of all team members

  • The working area conforms to EHS regulations (OHS, work instruction, equipment specifications)

  • Safety reports and checklist are updated as needed

  • To actively develop oneself so that individual and team performance/ productivity is optimized

Requirements

  • Diploma-level qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical & Processing Engineering, or any related engineering discipline

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in stores management.

  • Competent in the use of systems such as EQMS, SAP, and MS Office applications.
