Finance, HR and Administration Officer

We are seeking an experienced Finance, HR and Administration Officer to join Vi Agroforestry's Tanzania Country Office in Dar es Salaam.

The successful candidate will be responsible for effective financial management, human resource administration, and smooth day-to-day office operations.

The role has a strong focus on financial management, donor grants, compliance, budgeting, reporting, and internal controls, while also supporting HR processes, procurement, administration, and operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
• Monitor organizational and project budgets and prepare financial reports.
• Maintain effective financial controls and ensure compliance with established procedures.
• Manage donor grant funds and monitor project expenditures.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements and applicable statutory regulations.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes.
• Support employee relations and implementation of HR policies.
• Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records.
• Support recruitment and other human resource processes.
• Ensure HR practices comply with applicable Tanzanian labour laws.
• Manage general office administration and day-to-day operational activities.
• Coordinate office facilities and maintenance requirements.
• Support and manage procurement processes.
• Coordinate operational logistics required by the Tanzania Country Office.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting/Finance), Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
• Full professional membership or certification in CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent accounting qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive financial management experience within the NGO sector.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in results-based project management.
• Strong knowledge of grant management and donor compliance requirements.
• Good understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements in Tanzania.
• Proficiency in financial management or ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Kiswahili.
