WWF Tanzania is seeking a motivated Compliance Intern to support the Compliance and Quality Assurance Department. This internship offers practical experience in compliance reviews, risk assessments, internal controls, donor compliance, and audit activities while contributing to accountability, transparency, and strong governance across WWF-Tanzania projects and partner organizations.
Key Responsibilities

Support planning and execution of compliance reviews and audits across projects and partner organizations.

Review financial and non-financial records to assess compliance with donor requirements and grant agreements.

Verify compliance with WWF policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.

Participate in field compliance assessments at project sites and partner locations.

Review procurement processes, payments, asset management, and supporting documentation.

Maintain organized audit working papers and supporting evidence.

Compile compliance findings and assist in preparing compliance review reports.

Track implementation of corrective actions from compliance reviews.

Support compliance monitoring, awareness initiatives, and special investigations.

Contribute to improving compliance tools, checklists, and review methodologies.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.

Internship, volunteer, field attachment, or work experience in Internal Audit, External Audit, Compliance, Risk Management, or Finance is an advantage.

Basic understanding of audit methodologies and compliance review techniques.

Knowledge of internal controls and risk management principles.

Understanding of Tanzanian statutory and regulatory requirements.

Knowledge of donor-funded project management or grant compliance is an added advantage.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Willingness to travel extensively to project sites when required.
