WWF Tanzania is seeking a motivated Finance Intern to support its Accounting Unit in daily financial and administrative operations. This internship provides practical experience in donor-funded financial management, accounting controls, procurement compliance, audit preparation, and financial documentation while working under the guidance of experienced finance professionals.
Key Responsibilities

Organize, file, and maintain financial documents, including invoices, vouchers, contracts, and payment records.

Verify supporting documents before processing financial transactions.

Support tracking and reconciliation of staff travel advances.

Review staff claims and retirements for accuracy and compliance.

Identify missing documents or discrepancies and report them to the finance team.

Assist in reviewing procurement documentation for compliance with internal policies and donor requirements.

Maintain audit-ready financial and procurement records.

Prepare supporting documents for internal and external audits.
-
Support finance activities related to field projects and review financial accountability reports.

Maintain confidentiality while complying with WWF financial policies and ethical standards.

Perform additional finance and administrative duties assigned by the Accounting Unit.
Requirements

University degree or Advanced Diploma in Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.

Basic understanding of accounting principles.

Good organizational and document management skills.

Basic computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
