CCBRT is seeking a Quality & Safety Officer to support the Quality Assurance Department at CCBRT Hospital in Dar es Salaam.
The role involves monitoring and assessing the implementation of quality services, supporting the hospital’s Quality Management System, leading quality-improvement activities, and conducting nursing and clinical audits.
Responsibilities

Define the structure and framework of the Quality Management System (QMS).

Coordinate and control the QMS through the Quality Assurance Unit.

Lead and support 5S, KAIZEN and TQM initiatives across the organization.

Define the Quality Management System and incorporate it into the HMIS.

Conduct internal 5S, KAIZEN, TQM and Lean training and awareness sessions for staff.
-
Support the Quality Assurance Department in implementing quality-related structures and processes within Nursing and Midwifery.

Support the Head of Quality Assurance in daily quality-related activities.

Conduct internal quality audits and follow up on audit findings.

Prepare quality reports.
-
Support the hospital's complaint-management process on quality-related matters.

Support scientific problem-solving processes.
-
Assess documentation and provide capacity building based on identified gaps.
-
Support departments in improving processes, procedures and guidelines, including drafting and reviewing documents.

Plan and conduct annual quality-related training.

Collect client feedback and prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
-
Provide capacity building to teams on areas requiring improvement based on customer feedback.

Support the review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Communicate progress of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).

Coordinate internal assessments on Infection Prevention and Control (IPC).

Perform nursing and clinical audits.
Requirements
-
Degree in a health-related field.
-
Minimum 3 years of clinical experience.
-
Working knowledge or experience in a Quality section is an added advantage.

Clinical skills and expertise in managing different patients.

Ability to work as an adult trainer, coach or mentor for different professional cadres.

Ability to mobilize and work effectively with teams.

Excellent analytical skills.

Ability to perform clinical audits.

Computer literacy.
-
Good communication skills in Swahili and English.

Ability to work flexibly and manage multiple tasks.

Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
