We are looking to hire a Hardware Pre Sales Engineer in Dar es Salaam to support sales teams with product configurations, technical solutions, vendor relationships, tender compliance, business development, and hardware installation and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Understand the Personal Computing Solutions Group portfolio very well
- Work closely with the Sales team to understand client requirements and provide appropriate product configurations, solution recommendations and presales support
- Conduct business development for the business unit products and solutions
- Assist the sales team in positioning the right products to clients
- Manage manufacturer partnership status and relationships by ensuring all presales training is completed within indicated timelines
- Build strong relationships with vendors to provide the best cost and quotations
- Ensure the Back Office team has full support for the business unit’s RFPs and tenders
- Contact distributors to negotiate product prices, update stock information, and provide it to the sales teams
- Ensure all technical compliance for tenders and RFPs is completed correctly and on time
- Ensure deal registrations are completed on time to secure future business through price protection
- Manage partner portals for the hardware business
- Ensure all client orders are inspected and delivered to clients
- Supervise, assist, and support the installation and inspection of hardware equipment
- Explore new solutions to position to clients and the business unit
- Create and manage opportunities and leads
- Manage customer relationships and the end-to-end sales process
- Ensure customer satisfaction
