Dangote Cement is looking to hire a Process Engineer at its Mtwara Plant to monitor the cement production line from the Central Control Room and ensure stable, safe and efficient production of cement and clinker.
Responsibilities
- Monitor all sections of the production line from the Central Control Room (CCR).
- Ensure precision and adherence to standards in the cement production process.
- Give information and direction to patrollers and operators, in liaison with the shift coordinator.
- Monitor and control plant process lines for stable equipment operation, employee safety and environmental compliance.
- Log process data at specified intervals and report operational activities.
- Ensure smooth operation of the crusher, raw mills, kiln and cement mills.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot operating problems, independently when immediate action is necessary.
- Review the plant automation system and recommend improvements.
- Supervise casual staff to keep conveyor belts clean and free from jamming.
- Ensure cement and clinker production targets are achieved during each shift.
Requirements
- BSc in Chemical and Processing Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of working experience in a relevant position.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Swahili.
- Working knowledge of the cement production process and quality control parameters.
- Good knowledge of crushing operations and equipment.
