Dangote Cement Transport is looking to hire a Fleet Manager in Tanzania to coordinate vehicle operations, fleet availability, maintenance scheduling and transport administration, and to act as a core SAP user (TMS, MM and SD) for the Transport Department.
Responsibilities
- Perform SAP-related activities for the Transport Department as a core user (TMS, MM and SD).
- Maintain electronic databases of registration, inspections and maintenance for the fleet.
- Ensure fleet availability through scheduling, forecasting and review of user trends.
- Monitor fleet operations for compliance with local and national rules and regulations.
- Ensure vehicle and driver logbooks are properly maintained.
- Oversee vehicle licensing, renewals and other statutory registrations.
- Review and sign off periodic vehicle fuelling requests in line with approved provisions.
- Coordinate routine servicing and repair of vehicles and maintain the related documentation.
- Perform periodic vehicle inspections, report incidents and give recommendations to the Head of Department.
- Liaise with approved mechanics workshops and prepare monthly fleet reports.
Requirements
- First degree or equivalent in Transport and Logistics or Procurement.
- Professional qualification in procurement and logistics.
- At least 5 years' experience in a generalist logistics role.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications and record management systems.
- Ability to apply scheduling techniques.
- Good problem-solving, conflict resolution and communication skills.
