We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead the human resources function at FINCA Microfinance Bank Tanzania and drive the development and execution of the bank’s HR strategy. The role oversees talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, learning and development, HR policies, compliance, and HR operations while partnering with senior leadership to support organizational objectives.
Responsibilities

Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives.

Lead talent acquisition, staffing, recruitment, and selection across all levels.

Develop, review, and communicate HR policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Lead the performance management process and support managers in improving employee performance.

Oversee compensation, benefits, variable pay, merit, and bonus programmes.

Lead staff learning, development, succession planning, and retention initiatives.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date job descriptions and employee records.

Ensure HR practices comply with local labour laws and FINCA policies.

Support management in preventing and resolving employee and departmental conflicts.

Strengthen employee relations and act as a link between employees and management.

Review payroll, benefits, and tax-related HR processes and recommend improvements.

Partner with service providers to ensure effective administration of employee benefits.

Maintain HRIS data quality and prepare HR reports for management, the Board of Directors, and the Global HR Office.

Provide HR advice and guidance to senior leadership.

Support organizational change and staff capacity-building initiatives.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Relevant postgraduate qualification such as an MBA is preferred.

More than 10 years of HR experience.

At least 5 years of managerial experience.

Experience developing and implementing recruitment strategies.

Experience administering compensation and employee benefits.

Experience coordinating and delivering training programmes.

In-depth knowledge of local labour laws and employment practices.

Experience with HRIS platforms or systems.

Strong people management and employee relations capabilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
