We are recruiting a qualified and technically experienced Senior Officer – ICT on behalf of a client in the banking industry. The role is responsible for managing and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure, Core Banking Systems, servers, networks, cybersecurity, IT support, and technology vendors, while maintaining secure, reliable, and compliant ICT operations.
Responsibilities

Develop and implement network infrastructure plans that support current and future business requirements.

Design, configure, maintain, and monitor LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN environments.

Manage wireless networks and digital communication infrastructure.

Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

Manage routers, switches, firmware updates, network hardware upgrades, and related infrastructure.

Administer, maintain, and provide technical support for Core Banking Systems (CBS).

Monitor CBS servers, system logs, user activities, and overall system performance.
-
Manage CBS user accounts, access permissions, and security configurations.
-
Implement, test, and document CBS patches, upgrades, and system changes.

Install, configure, and administer Windows and Linux servers and operating systems.

Manage backup, restoration, business continuity and disaster recovery processes.
-
Maintain the availability, integrity, performance, and security of IT systems.

Ensure ICT operations comply with organizational policies and applicable Bank of Tanzania (BOT) requirements.

Conduct security assessments and participate in disaster recovery drills.
-
Provide technical support for hardware, software, networks, and systems.
-
Train employees on IT systems, cybersecurity practices, and ICT policies.

Maintain IT incident, resolution, recurring issue, and service-level records.

Coordinate technology vendors and service providers.
-
Support procurement, installation, configuration, and deployment of ICT hardware and software.

Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend appropriate ICT improvements.
Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in IT systems, networking, infrastructure, or systems administration.

Previous experience in banking or financial services is highly preferred.

Proven hands-on experience in Core Banking System (CBS) administration and technical support.

Knowledge of IT security and data protection.

Knowledge of backup, business continuity, and disaster recovery practices.

Knowledge of ICT regulatory and compliance requirements, particularly within banking and financial services.
