Chef De Partie

Johari Rotana is looking for a passionate and skilled Chef De Partie to support daily food preparation and kitchen operations while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. The role involves coordinating with senior chefs, supervising junior kitchen staff, supporting different kitchen sections, and ensuring consistent food quality and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily mise-en-place and food production across different sections of the main kitchen or satellite kitchens.
• Coordinate daily tasks with the Sous Chef or Executive Chef.
• Follow instructions and recommendations from immediate supervisors to complete daily tasks.
• Maintain high standards and consistent quality in daily food preparation.
• Stay up to date with new products, recipes, and preparation techniques.
• Instruct and lead junior kitchen staff in their daily food preparation duties.
• Participate in the setup and supervision of buffets and special functions.
• Coordinate with other kitchen sections on operational requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and support effective wastage and cost control.
• Review daily requirements, functions, and last-minute events.
• Guide and train junior staff to maintain high motivation and an efficient working environment.

Requirements

• Professional kitchen apprenticeship or chef training course.
• Previous experience working in quality hospitality establishments.
• Strong culinary skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Proven knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and preservation.
• Familiarity with international cuisine.
• Good understanding of hotel operations.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good planning and organizational abilities.
• Ability to supervise and guide kitchen staff.
