Official job description

We are seeking a Tutor II – Animal Science to teach and administer examinations for students up to NTA Level 6 at the Livestock Training Agency (LITA). The role involves preparing training materials, supervising practical and field training, supporting students academically, and contributing to research and consultancy activities.

Responsibilities

Teach students up to NTA Level 6 and assist with teaching at higher levels when required.
Administer examinations up to NTA Level 6.
Prepare training materials and learning resources.
Provide training and academic support to students.
Supervise and assist junior staff.
Supervise students during field training.
Conduct tutorials for students requiring additional academic support.
Prepare examinations and assignments.
Identify students' academic needs and provide counselling.
Conduct and supervise presentation classes and tutorials.
Participate in research and consultancy activities.
Perform other related duties assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science from an institution or university recognized by the Government.
Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 5.0.
Ability to teach students up to NTA Level 6.
Ability to prepare and administer examinations up to NTA Level 6.
Ability to supervise practical and field-based training.
