Direct Sales Agent

National Insurance Corporation (NIC) is seeking Direct Sales Agents in Zanzibar to promote and sell the Corporation's General and Life Insurance products. The role focuses on finding prospective customers, participating in sales campaigns, achieving assigned sales targets, and maintaining strong client relationships while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential clients through networking, marketing campaigns, and direct outreach.
• Promote and sell NIC General Insurance and Life Insurance products.
• Participate in sales activations and promotional campaigns to achieve specific sales targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Support customer retention and insurance policy renewals.
• Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities among existing customers.
• Work toward individual and team sales targets aligned with NIC's strategic objectives and premium goals.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the sales process.
• Prepare and submit regular sales reports.
• Maintain ongoing communication with prospective and existing clients.

Requirements

• Ordinary Level Secondary Education (O-Level/CSEE), Advanced Level Secondary Education (A-Level/ACSEE), or higher qualification.
• Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Insurance, Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Sales and Marketing, or another related field is accepted.
• Experience in sales and marketing of insurance products is an added advantage.
• Must be a Tanzanian citizen.
• Must be above 18 years of age.
• Ability to use proactive sales techniques.
• Ability to identify and approach prospective customers.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work toward individual and team sales targets.
