The National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of Tanzania is the elected administrative body overseeing the affairs of the Bahá’í Faith in the country. Since its establishment in 1964, it has guided a community that now spans nearly 3,000 localities and over 150 Local Spiritual Assemblies. The organization focuses on the spiritual and material transformation of society through core activities such as devotional gatherings, children’s moral education classes, and junior youth empowerment programs. It also manages significant social and economic initiatives, most notably the Ruaha Secondary School in Iringa, which promotes the education of girls and integrates moral leadership into its curriculum. Guided by principles of unity, gender equality, and the elimination of prejudice, the Assembly collaborates with various faith and social groups to build a more just and peaceful society.
