Industrial Hygienist Officer

STAMIGOLD Company Limited is seeking a qualified Industrial Hygienist Officer to join its Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) team in Biharamulo, Kagera. The successful candidate will identify, assess, and control workplace health hazards, support occupational health programs, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and control chemical, physical, and biological workplace hazards.
• Conduct industrial hygiene surveys, including air sampling and noise monitoring.
• Perform exposure assessments and workplace risk evaluations.
• Develop and implement industrial hygiene and occupational health programs.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and company standards.
• Deliver training and awareness programs on industrial hygiene practices.
• Prepare reports and recommend corrective actions to minimize workplace risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Experience in industrial hygiene, occupational health, or HSE is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of hazard identification, exposure monitoring, and risk assessment.
• Understanding of occupational health and safety regulations and standards.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to deliver health and safety training effectively.
