Official job description

CRDB Bank Plc is seeking a Specialist, Data Integration to design, develop, support, and continuously improve secure, reliable, and scalable data integration solutions across the Bank’s source systems, data platforms, and authorized consumers.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and unit-test batch ETL/ELT, CDC, and streaming pipelines.
Ensure pipelines follow approved architecture, naming conventions, and idempotent-load standards across source systems, staging, data warehouses, data marts, and lakehouses.
Onboard new data sources by analysing source structures, agreeing extraction methods and schedules, and preparing source-to-target mappings and interface specifications.
Monitor daily data loads, replication, and streaming lag; resolve failed jobs within agreed SLAs; manage reruns and backfills with complete audit trails.
Lead root-cause analysis for recurring integration incidents and implement permanent corrective solutions.
Build reconciliation and validation controls into every pipeline, including row counts, hash and control totals, null checks, uniqueness and referential integrity checks, and schema-drift alerts.
Optimise extraction and loading performance through incremental loads, partitioning, parallel processing, and query optimisation.
Build and maintain governed APIs, file interfaces, and message interfaces for internal consumers, regulators, and approved third parties.
Apply least-privilege service accounts, encryption in transit, personal data masking in non-production environments, and environment segregation.
Deliver changes through version control, UAT, and change management processes.
Maintain runbooks, interface catalogues, technical documentation, integration metadata, and data lineage.
Contribute to Data Management Platform and lakehouse migration, legacy interface rationalisation, and Master Data Management synchronisation.
Support knowledge transfer from vendors and implementation partners.
Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for complex or recurring integration failures.

Batch ETL/ELT, CDC, replication, event streaming, publish-subscribe, REST APIs, file transfer, hub-and-spoke, and point-to-point integration patterns
Data warehouse, lakehouse, and dimensional modelling
Oracle Data Integrator, Oracle GoldenGate, Informatica, SSIS, Apache Kafka, and NiFi
Advanced SQL and PL/SQL
Python and shell scripting
Spark/PySpark is an added advantage
REST, JSON, and XML API integration
Git, CI/CD, job scheduling, and orchestration
Analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills
