Art Teacher

First Years Academy is seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join its Cambridge International School in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will deliver engaging Art & Design lessons aligned with the Cambridge International Curriculum while nurturing creativity, artistic expression, and critical thinking among students from primary through secondary levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons aligned with the Cambridge International Curriculum.
• Teach Cambridge IGCSE Art & Design to primary and secondary students.
• Develop students' artistic techniques, creativity, and visual communication skills.
• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Prepare students for Cambridge examinations and portfolio assessments.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment.
• Encourage creativity, innovation, and self-expression through practical art activities.
• Maintain accurate student records and contribute to school academic activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Art, Fine Arts, Design, Education, or a related field.
• Experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE Art & Design.
• Strong knowledge of the Cambridge International Curriculum.
• Excellent practical artistic skills.
• Strong classroom management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
