Haven of Peace Academy (HOPAC) is seeking an experienced Swimming Coordinator to lead the operational, educational, and facility management aspects of its aquatics program. The successful candidate will oversee swimming instruction from Kindergarten through Grade 12, ensure the safe operation of aquatic facilities, manage swimming staff, and lead strategic improvements to the school's pool infrastructure while fostering excellence in student development and competitive swimming.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the daily operation of the school's aquatics program and swimming facilities.

Deliver and oversee K–12 Physical Education swimming curriculum.

Coordinate swimming lessons, competitive swimming activities, and coaching programs.

Ensure compliance with aquatic safety standards and emergency procedures.

Manage pool maintenance, filtration systems, and facility operations.

Supervise lifeguards, swimming instructors, and coaching staff.

Plan and oversee major aquatic facility improvement projects and capital investments.

Manage aquatics budgets, equipment maintenance schedules, and operational resources.

Coordinate community use of swimming facilities and program schedules.

Support student development through safe, engaging, and high-quality aquatic programs.
Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field.

Aquatic Facility Certification.

Certified Pool Maintenance qualification with expertise in filtration systems.

Certified Lifeguard.

Certified Lifesaver.
-
Certified Swimming Instructor or Trainer (STA, YMCA, or equivalent).

Proven experience managing aquatic facilities and capital improvement projects exceeding $40,000.

Experience supervising lifeguards, coaches, and aquatic staff.

Strong background in competitive swimming as a coach or athlete.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Fluency in English.
