IFS Consulting Limited is seeking graduate Software Developer Interns in Dar es Salaam to support the design, development, testing, maintenance, and technical support of software applications and internal business systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, developing, and testing web and mobile applications under the guidance of senior developers
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code in line with agreed coding standards
- Support the development and maintenance of internal HR, payroll, finance, and client management systems
- Assist in designing and managing databases and preparing data for reports and dashboards
- Help identify, troubleshoot, and fix software bugs and system issues
- Support system integration work, including APIs and data exchange between applications
- Assist in testing, quality assurance, and user acceptance activities before system releases
- Prepare and update technical documentation, user guides, and system manuals
- Provide basic technical support to staff and help train users on new systems and features
- Support the application of data protection and information security practices
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems and processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Upper Second Class GPA of 3.5 out of 5.0 or above
- Programming knowledge in Python, JavaScript, PHP, Java, or C#
- Knowledge of web technologies and software frameworks
- Basic relational database and SQL knowledge
- Version control knowledge using Git and GitHub or GitLab
- Analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and user-support skills
- Responsible handling of confidential information and system access
- Organizational and time-management skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Teamwork and willingness to learn
