Tanzania Posts Corporation (TPC) is recruiting one ICT Officer II (Frontend Developer) to design, code, test and maintain web, mobile and desktop applications, with a focus on front-end graphical user interface design and programming.
Responsibilities
- Design, code and debug software applications for various deployment platforms (web, mobile, desktop), operating systems, programming languages and database management systems
- Assist and participate in user requirements analysis, prototyping, development of new functionalities, application maintenance, integration of technological components, testing and deployment
- Design, code and debug web and mobile based applications in various software languages
- Carry out software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis and software reliability analysis
- Perform software testing and quality assurance, including performance tuning, load balancing, usability and automation
- Support, maintain and document software functionality, including technical and user documentation
- Install and configure appropriate application servers for the application programs to be supported
- Train and support software users for effective utilization of deployed systems
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving routine software application problems
- Perform software modelling and simulation and front-end graphical user interface design and programming
- Integrate software with existing systems
- Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation, working closely with analysts, designers and other staff
- Produce detailed technical specifications and software code documentation, and support production system maintenance
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree from a recognized institution in an ICT-related field
- Accepted fields include Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information and Communication Technology and Information Systems
- Also accepted: Information System and Network Engineering, Network Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information and Communication Systems Management, Cyber Security, or equivalent qualifications
