The Institute of Accountancy Arusha (IAA), a public higher learning institution under the Ministry of Finance, is seeking an Assistant Lecturer in Insurance and Risk Management to teach, conduct research and provide consultancy services at its campuses in Dar es Salaam and Dodoma.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and non-degree courses in Insurance and Risk Management.
- Prepare course outlines, lecture notes and teaching materials.
- Set, invigilate and mark tests and examinations.
- Supervise students' research projects and field attachments.
- Conduct research, publish scholarly work and participate in consultancy and community service.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Actuarial Science or a closely related field.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a strong academic record (upper second class or equivalent GPA).
- Sound knowledge of insurance principles and enterprise risk management.
- Good communication, presentation and teaching skills.
- Ability to conduct research and supervise students.
- Knowledge of Insurance and Risk Management.
- Academic teaching and related professional capabilities.
