Communication, Knowledge Sharing & Public Relations Officer

Itracom Fertilizers Ltd is seeking to recruit a dynamic and broad-minded Communication, Knowledge Sharing & Public Relations Officer with a background in agronomy and fertilizers. The successful candidate will lead corporate visibility, stakeholder engagement, and agronomic knowledge dissemination. The ideal candidate should combine strong communication skills with a solid agronomic background to ensure technical accuracy, credibility, and effective communication within the fertilizer business.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute corporate communication and public relations strategies.
• Translate agronomic and fertilizer knowledge into accessible formats for farmers, partners, policymakers, and other stakeholders.
• Establish and strengthen knowledge-sharing channels and processes, including workshops, newsletters, social media platforms, and digital portals.
• Prepare communication messages tailored to different stakeholders, including government institutions and non-governmental organizations.
• Manage corporate communication and safeguard the company’s reputation.
• Support stakeholder engagement and promote the company’s visibility within the agricultural and fertilizer sectors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Sciences, or a related field.
• Master’s degree (preferred).
• Professional training in Communication, Public Relations, or Corporate Affairs.
• Seven years of experience in agronomy and the fertilizer business, including three years in communication or public relations roles.
• Strong writing skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in English and Kiswahili; French is preferred.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks and international agricultural standards.
