Official job description

Simera Transport Limited is seeking experienced Transit Drivers in Dar es Salaam to operate heavy-duty trucks on long-distance cross-border routes across East and Southern Africa, ensuring safe, compliant and timely cargo delivery.

Responsibilities

Safely operate heavy-duty transit trucks on regional cross-border routes, particularly to Zambia, Malawi and Rwanda
Operate manual transmission FAW and HOWO trucks efficiently and responsibly
Comply with road safety regulations, border-crossing procedures and company transport policies
Ensure goods are transported safely and delivered without damage or unnecessary delays
Conduct basic vehicle inspections and identify issues affecting vehicle safety or performance
Maintain high standards of discipline, professionalism and road safety throughout assigned journeys

Requirements

Heavy-duty truck driving
Long-distance and cross-border transport operations
FAW and HOWO manual transmission truck operation
Knowledge of road safety regulations and border-crossing procedures
Basic vehicle inspection and fault identification
Cargo safety and secure delivery
Valid driving licence
Valid passport
Responsibility, discipline and professionalism
