Country T1 & T2 Manager

Tanzania Breweries Limited (TBL PLC) is looking for a Country T1 & T2 Manager to execute the Tier 1 and Tier 2 Logistics strategy and ensure effective warehouse and distribution performance. The role is responsible for achieving logistics KPIs, maintaining service levels to Sales, controlling Variable Logistics Costs, and supporting the implementation of Logistics Excellence Programs including DPO, VPO, and LCP.

Responsibilities

• Work with Sales to ensure demand is satisfied while maintaining required service levels in the most cost-efficient way.
• Manage Tier 1, Tier 2, and warehouse operational performance against targets and Variable Logistics Costs.
• Calculate Latest Estimates and develop recovery plans for identified performance deviations.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on Variable Logistics Costs and productivity KPIs.
• Manage Tier 1 and Tier 2 KPIs to drive overall logistics productivity.
• Manage stock cover to minimize waste, bottle losses, stock-age write-offs, and stock-count variances.
• Manage performance against the Returnable Container plan to achieve required service levels.
• Define and control Finished Goods and Returnable Container plans to support production and service-level targets.
• Support production execution against production plans and minimize downtime caused by logistics.
• Manage Finished Goods warehouse capacity to ensure efficient utilization of available space.
• Manage and report Tier 1, Tier 2, and warehouse KPIs to improve warehouse and distribution productivity.
• Define transportation requirements for the movement of raw materials and finished goods.
• Ensure appropriate fleet sizing to meet transportation demand.
• Manage execution against Tier 1 and Tier 2 transportation and inventory deployment plans to achieve Load Plan Attainment targets.
• Support implementation of DPO, VPO, and LCP programs and serve as a subject matter expert.
• Support the development, implementation, and tracking of value-addition and improvement initiatives.
• Ensure a safe working environment across logistics operations.

Requirements

• Relevant 3-year degree.
• At least 2 years of management experience, preferably in Logistics or Supply.
• Experience with DPO and/or VPO.
• Good understanding of warehouse, logistics, and inventory operations.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good self-management skills.
• Strong achievement and results orientation.
• Ability to adapt to and implement change effectively.
• Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Oasis, and handheld devices.
• Proficiency in SAP and/or Syspro.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Warehouse, logistics, and inventory experience within the FMCG industry is an added advantage.
