Official job description

Tanzania Railways Corporation (TRC) is looking for five Artisan II (Auto Electric) professionals to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in plants, machinery, and motor vehicles. The role focuses on ensuring electrical components and systems remain safe, reliable, and operational.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in plants, machinery, and motor vehicles.
Diagnose and rectify electrical faults in equipment and machinery.
Carry out preventive maintenance on electrical components and systems.
Test electrical systems and identify faulty components.
Repair or replace faulty electrical parts and systems.
Support the installation and commissioning of electrical equipment.
Perform other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Form IV Certificate.
CBET Level II or III Certificate in Auto Electric; or
Trade Test Grade I or II Certificate in Auto Electric; or
NVA Level II or III qualification in Auto Electric; or
An equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
