Technician II (Hydraulic Machineries)

Tanzania Railways Corporation (TRC) is looking for two Technician II (Hydraulic Machineries) professionals to support the maintenance of rolling stock, locomotives, workshop machinery, and plants. The role also involves servicing refrigeration and air-conditioning facilities, mechanical handling equipment, and ancillary plants.

Responsibilities

• Undertake maintenance of rolling stock and locomotives.
• Maintain workshop machinery and plants.
• Service refrigeration and air-conditioning facilities.
• Service mechanical handling equipment and ancillary plants.
• Assist the supervisor in maintaining accurate maintenance records.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Form IV or Form VI education.
• Full Technician Certificate (FTC) or Ordinary Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Hydraulic Machineries.
• An equivalent Mechanical Engineering qualification from a recognized institution may also be accepted.
• Practical knowledge of maintaining rolling stock and locomotives.
• Knowledge of workshop machinery and plant maintenance.
• Knowledge of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
• Knowledge of mechanical handling equipment and ancillary plants.
