Human Resources & Training Manager

The Residence Zanzibar is seeking an experienced Human Resources & Training Manager to manage HR operations and employee relations while supporting staff learning and development. The role focuses on implementing HR policies, ensuring compliance with labour requirements, developing employee training initiatives and helping maintain a positive and professional workplace within the resort.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day human resources operations across the resort.
• Ensure HR policies and procedures are implemented effectively and consistently.
• Support employee relations and address workplace matters professionally.
• Handle sensitive employee and HR information with appropriate confidentiality.
• Ensure HR practices comply with applicable labour laws and hospitality industry best practices.
• Develop and deliver employee training programmes.
• Support staff learning, professional development and performance improvement initiatives.
• Help promote a positive, professional and productive workplace culture.
• Provide HR guidance and support to managers and employees.
• Work with management to identify staff training and development needs.
• Support continuous improvement of HR and training practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar Human Resources role.
• Previous HR experience within a resort, hotel or hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of labour laws.
• Understanding of HR best practices.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage employee relations professionally.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
• Experience designing and delivering employee training programmes is an added advantage.
