Tutor in Accounting and Finance

United African Technical College (UATC) is seeking a qualified and experienced Tutor in Accounting and Finance to join its Business Management Faculty in Vijibweni, Kigamboni, Dar es Salaam.

The successful candidate will teach Accounting and Finance, Business Administration and related modules up to NTA Level 6, while supporting students through academic guidance, practical learning and professional mentorship.

The position is expected to begin on 01 October 2026.

Responsibilities

• Teach Accounting and Finance modules up to NTA Level 6.
• Teach Business Administration and other related subjects.
• Deliver courses in accordance with NACTVET teaching standards.
• Prepare and deliver high-quality, student-centered lessons.
• Use modern teaching methods and relevant practical examples.
• Guide students through assignments, fieldwork and project development.
• Help students develop practical Accounting, Finance and Business Administration skills.
• Encourage critical thinking and practical problem-solving.
• Provide academic and professional guidance to students.
• Mentor students in their spiritual, intellectual, emotional and character development.
• Work closely with the Head of Department.
• Help organize and oversee extracurricular activities.
• Support student clubs, community-service initiatives and industry networking events.
• Contribute to the development of new short courses and advanced learning opportunities.
• Ensure new learning programmes align with NACTVET standards and regulations.
• Participate in continuous professional development.
• Participate in research and knowledge-sharing activities.
• Perform other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor or college administration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in, Accounting and Finance, Business Administration, Finance Management, Or another related field
• Minimum university GPA of 3.5.
• Valid Teacher Training License or CBET Certificate.
• Relevant professional experience in Accounting, Finance Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong passion for teaching and mentoring students.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• 2 or more years of teaching experience in a NACTVET-recognized academic institution is an added advantage.
