We are seeking an Information Communication & Technology Officer to join World Vision in Kigoma. The role provides day-to-day ICT support to users, maintains computer and network infrastructure, troubleshoots hardware and software issues, supports connectivity and meetings, manages ICT assets, and helps ensure data protection and information security. The position also requires regular travel to World Vision locations across Tanzania.
Responsibilities

Provide first-line technical support to end users for Level 1 and Level 2 ICT issues.

Respond to support requests through phone, email, remote-support tools, and other approved channels.

Log, track, and manage ICT support requests using ServiceNow.

Configure, install, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.

Diagnose hardware, software, workstation, and mobile-device problems and provide appropriate resolutions or temporary workarounds.

Monitor network availability and performance to ensure reliable connectivity.

Configure and support network infrastructure, including Cisco routers, switches, Meraki devices, and LAN environments.

Work with Internet Service Providers to monitor service levels and ensure outages are reported and escalated promptly.

Support LAN/WAN, wireless networking, TCP/IP, and internet connectivity.

Organize and conduct scheduled ICT clinics and knowledge-transfer sessions for users at head and field offices.

Participate in the deployment and implementation of new or upgraded ICT infrastructure, hardware, and software.

Provide technical support for meetings, including video-conferencing systems.

Help ensure appropriate protection and backup of user data.

Support compliance with organizational information-security requirements and procedures.

Maintain computer and ICT asset inventories.

Track ICT service and performance metrics.

Maintain accurate technical documentation and records of issues and resolutions.

Provide customer-focused technical assistance while balancing user needs with organizational priorities.

Travel to World Vision offices and other locations in Tanzania as required.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.

At least 2 years of work experience in a networking or telecommunications environment.

ITIL, CCNA, or MCP certification is preferred.

Good knowledge of telecommunications technologies.

Good understanding of wireless networking.

Good knowledge of LAN and WAN architectures.

Strong understanding of internet technologies and TCP/IP protocols.

Knowledge of internet and information-security principles.

Experience supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems.

Good knowledge of office automation and productivity applications.

Ability to configure and troubleshoot computers, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.

Knowledge of network devices such as Cisco routers, switches, and Meraki equipment.
