Zanzibar University is seeking Assistant Lecturers in Occupational Health to teach, conduct research, supervise students, and contribute to academic activities within the Faculty of Health and Allied Sciences at the University Main Campus in Tunguu, Zanzibar.
Responsibilities
-
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Occupational Health.

Prepare course outlines, lecture materials, practical exercises, and assessments in line with University curricula.

Supervise and mentor students in coursework and field practicals.
-
Supervise student research projects and dissertations.
-
Conduct research in occupational health, workplace safety, and employee wellbeing.
-
Publish academic research in relevant areas.
-
Participate in curriculum development.
-
Participate in departmental meetings, examinations, and quality assurance activities.
-
Contribute to consultancy and community outreach activities.
-
Participate in other University service activities.
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Public Health, Environmental Health, Medicine, or another relevant field.

Minimum undergraduate CGPA of 3.5.
-
Master’s degree in Occupational Health.

Minimum Master's CGPA of 4.0.
-
Sound knowledge of occupational health and safety principles.
-
Good understanding of workplace hazards and risk assessment.
-
Strong teaching and presentation skills.
-
Strong academic writing skills.
-
Demonstrated interest and capacity in research and publication.
-
Ability to supervise and mentor students.
-
Willingness to work at the University Main Campus in Tunguu, Zanzibar.
