Zanzibar University is seeking Assistant Lecturers in Public Health to teach, conduct research, supervise students, and contribute to academic activities within the Faculty of Health and Allied Sciences at the University Main Campus in Tunguu, Zanzibar.
Responsibilities
-
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Public Health.

Prepare course outlines, lecture materials, practical exercises, and assessments in accordance with University curricula.

Supervise and mentor students in coursework and field practicals.
-
Supervise student research projects and dissertations.
-
Conduct academic research in Public Health and related disciplines.
-
Publish research findings in relevant academic publications.
-
Participate in curriculum development and review.
-
Participate in departmental meetings, examinations, and quality assurance activities.
-
Contribute to consultancy and community outreach activities.
-
Participate in other academic and University service activities.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, Medicine, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, or another relevant field.

Minimum undergraduate CGPA of 3.5.
-
Master of Public Health (MPH) degree.
-
Minimum Master's CGPA of 4.0.
-
Sound knowledge of epidemiology, health promotion, and public health practice.
-
Strong teaching and presentation abilities.

Strong academic writing skills.
-
Demonstrated interest and capacity in research and academic publication.
-
Ability to supervise and mentor students.
-
Willingness to work at the University Main Campus in Tunguu, Zanzibar.
