Vipawa Works Inc. Limited is seeking an experienced Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) Expert to support aviation infrastructure projects in Iringa. The successful candidate will lead the planning, design, implementation, testing, and commissioning of Airfield Ground Lighting systems while ensuring compliance with international aviation standards and airport operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning and design of Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) systems.

Design runway, taxiway, apron, approach, stop-bar, guidance, and obstruction lighting systems.

Develop AGL layouts, circuit designs, CCR sizing, ducting, and pit layouts.

Ensure compliance with ICAO Annex 14, FAA standards, and airport authority regulations.

Coordinate with civil, electrical, ATC/ATM, signage, and airport operations teams.

Review vendor submissions, interface drawings, and photometric data.

Support procurement of AGL equipment, Constant Current Regulators (CCR), and lighting control systems.

Supervise installation, testing, calibration, commissioning, and operational handover.

Ensure system reliability, redundancy, and compatibility with Airfield Lighting Control and Monitoring Systems (ALCMS).

Resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or a related field.

Master's degree is an added advantage.

Minimum eight (8) years of professional experience, primarily in Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) systems.

Mandatory experience in aviation projects and airport infrastructure.

Strong knowledge of ICAO Annex 14, FAA standards, and airport authority regulations.

Experience with AGL design software, CAD applications, and simulation tools.

Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Fluency in spoken and written English.
