Official job description

Elsewedy Electric is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to drive revenue growth in the telecommunications infrastructure sector by combining technical engineering expertise with B2B sales skills. The role involves developing business opportunities, managing telecom client relationships, leading tenders, and preparing technical and financial proposals.

Responsibilities

Identify and develop new business opportunities in the telecom infrastructure sector, particularly passive equipment, towers, and fiber networks
Build and maintain relationships with procurement teams and key telecom operators, including Vodacom, Airtel, Tigo, and Halotel
Lead end-to-end bidding and tender processes
Prepare comprehensive technical proposals, financial offers, and commercial documentation
Conduct risk analysis and interpret customer technical requirements
Provide engineering and product information to support the front-end sales team and Sales Managers
Perform market analysis to monitor competitor activities, market trends, and potential growth segments
Coordinate with Planning, Technical, Warehouses, Production, Logistics, and Quality departments to ensure feasibility, compliance, and timely delivery of solutions
Comply with company Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment policies, manage risks, and maintain a safe working environment

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
Certified Engineer status with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) or equivalent certification
At least five years of professional experience, including proven B2B sales in cable manufacturing or telecom infrastructure
Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, including fiber networks, towers, and passive equipment
Proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and market analysis skills
CRM proficiency
Fluency in English and Swahili
